Tasty Korean BBQ

Lunch with Auntie Kehau

With of course, a scoop of white rice.


Bibim Kook Soo
Marinated beef with sauteed vegetables over cold noodles, mild, medium or spicy .

Jodo Mission of Hawaii

This year Jodi suggested we go to The Jodo Mission since her Granny was a member.
By far, the best food of any Obon.
The festival area was open so there was always a good breeze (very important on humid Hawaiian summer evenings).

The views from Zoe's home in the afternoon are spectacular.
Mahalo Zoe for always having us over.


Living up in the Ko'olau require some effort to get drinking water to the homes.
Classic architecture on the building for the Board of Water Supply Pumping Station.

Lunch - Kua Aina Sandwich

The President eats here when in town. Definitely return visits will happen when we come home.

I have never eaten here in all the years I've lived here, thought it was touristy. Now, I am kicking myself for missing out on awesome food.
