My Nephew
I am trying my hardest to let you go.
I told you this morning as I sat next to you, I am finished with this intense sadness and feelings of loss.
I will keep your memories with me.
You were so young and we spent every school day together until your brothers and sister returned home. I would drop you at home as I left for work.
Years later sitting at your bedside, you were an otherwise strong young man in San Diego while you fought that terrible infection. You were determined to get better and you did.
I will always be proud of you.
I will always remember your kindness, caring and concern for everyone.
No more worrying for you.
We will all be okay.
Just rest.
I love you.
I miss you terribly.
